Overview

This guide helps Wheely Bot assist customers with understanding the necessary steps and document requirements for completing the booking process, based on their residency status. It includes updated options for drivers with new licenses and outlines requirements for both Saudi residents and visitors to ensure a smooth rental experience.

Update: New Driver’s License Option

  • Customers with a driver’s license less than 6 months old may be eligible for booking, depending on the car.
  • How It Works:
    • If the option is available, a "New Driver License" note will appear at the top of the car details page.
    • If this option does not appear, the selected car is not available for customers with a new license.

Requirements for Saudi Residents

  1. Saudi Driver's License:

    • Must be valid and held for more than six months.
    • The license must remain valid throughout the subscription period.
  2. Proof of Identity:

    • Iqama (Residence Permit):
      • Must be valid and sponsored by an entity (organization), not an individual.
    • National ID:
      • A valid Saudi national ID can also be provided.
    • Age Requirement:
      • The applicant must be at least 23 years old.

Requirements for Tourists or Visitors

  1. International Driver's License:

    • A valid International Driving Permit (IDP) is mandatory.
    • Note: A driver’s license from any specific country is not acceptable; it must be an IDP.
  2. Supporting Documents:

    • Passport:
      • A valid passport must be uploaded.
    • Visa:
      • Most suppliers require a business or work visa.

Important Considerations

  1. Entry and Exit Visa:

    • If the customer has an entry-exit visa, approval depends on the supplier’s policy.
    • Most suppliers do not accept entry-exit visas for rentals.
    • If accepted, customers may need to pay a deposit or additional fees.
  2. Supplier Discretion:

    • Final approval of documents rests with the supplier.
    • Policies and document acceptance may vary across suppliers.
